By Nova the Husky and Ryan Reynolds the Dog
We don’t get what all the fuss is about. Why do so many people hesitate when it comes to adopting big dogs like us?
We thought it was time to share our perspective on why large dogs are, without question, the best kind of pet friends.
We Have Big Hearts
One of the best reasons to welcome a large dog into your life is that our hearts are just as big as our paws. We have so much love to give.
We’re Great Guardians
If you walked into our house uninvited, would you want to see both of us staring you down from the other side of the door? We didn’t think so. Big dogs are loyal protectors. We’re strong, watchful, and let’s be honest, pretty intimidating. That is, until you pull out some treats.
We’re Calm and Great With Kids
A lot of large breeds are gentle giants. We’re easygoing and make excellent companions for children. We’ve got plenty of energy to play, but we’re also sweet, steady, and careful around little humans.
We’re Smart and Easy to Train
Big dogs like Siberian Huskies and Anatolian Shepherds are incredibly smart. We pick up new things quickly and genuinely enjoy learning. We like to be helpful and love making our humans proud.
We’re Majestic
Let’s be real, big dogs are majestic. We add instant charm and grandeur to any family photo. Just look at us… need we say more?
We Give the Best Hugs
We believe everyone should hug more dogs. When you hug a large dog, it’s like hugging a warm, furry pillow that loves you back. Our hugs are next level. Try one and see for yourself.
We’re Often Overlooked in Shelters
It’s sad, but true, big dogs are sometimes passed over in shelters. Maybe people think we’ll be too much to handle or feel unsure about our size. But we promise, once you get to know us, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without a big dog in your life.
So next time you’re thinking about adding a pet friend to your family, don’t overlook the big guys. We’re loving, loyal, and ready to be your very best friend.
Love and big hugs,
Nova & Reynolds
